Chris has designed and facilitated educational arts projects of all kinds for many years. Her background is teaching in the primary sector but she also has qualifications in educational drama and a diploma in primary mathematics teaching. In fact her special study was in teaching maths through drama.

Chris has worked as an artist and run her own pottery. She is able to offer a wide selection of arts and craft workshops but her primary focus is story telling, story making, and creative writing through oral skill development. Somehow arts and craft still seem to get included, even in story making as her unique Magic Book story maker illustrates. She also makes use of some special puppets friends to make every workshop an entertaining event. Chris can be seen story telling on the following link.
She regularly works with groups of all ages and all types from toddlers to active age groups and daycare Centres. She most enjoys designing and facilitating projects that bring differing groups together. These include intergenerational projects, cultural diversity projects and local history projects.
Her projects have covered a wide area but she has a special relationship with Longford County Library and Arts Services with whom she works on a regular basis. The popular Describe Project continues to offer an exciting new approach to creative writing. A wide range of of new downloadable resources have now been added to the site.
Collaborative novels , created with children in County Longford. All Because of a Toothbrush and The Great Water St Mystery. are available to download, as well as, St Brendan's Treasures , created with a boys' school in Dublin.
